It would be much easier if AQ was the Wehrmacht. In one sense, perhaps, but not really. I assume you are speaking hyperbolically. Hizballah can't be "wiped out." I hope nobody is saying that's possible. They're the tip of the iceberg of Arabs and other Muslims who want Israel to be removed from the face of the earth. That sentiment can't be wiped out. Discredited, maybe. It would be a major victory if the state news outlets of Egypt, Saudi Arabia, and other leading nations in the Muslim world would stop endorsing this idea. But that wouldn't change people's minds.
