There is a HUGE difference,

The neocons enforce newspeak in reports of Israel. They immediately react to all words like Zion, jew, Israel, likkud, and others as if they mean exactly the same thing. This means that opponents find it very hard to find a word to describe who they mean in a critisism, and so the neocons can claim a general anti-semitisism in any critc.

I got severely castigated at Daily Kos for suggesting Wolf Blitzer might be incapable of objectivity given that his parents were holocaust refugees and he had worked for AIPAC as a lobbyist at one time.

There seems to be a special rule in place because on the same site I've seen people say much worse things about other minority groups (at least ones that don't march in lockstep with the liberal agenda) and nobody complained.
