That makes it that much trickier to win over the confidence of the Arab street and convince them that the US is the democratic model they should want to emulate in their own societies. If the US supports someone they perceive as evil or threatening, our bona fides are suspect before we even open our mouths.

This not rocket science. This is not quantum mechanics.

This is people behaving badly.

We are the world's only super power.

Everytime an Arab leader goes on US TV, they rage at Israel but inveitably plead to the American people for help.

We have people that can broker a peace deal.

It doesn't matter. It could be James Baker, Bill Clinton, Brent Scrocroft, or even George H W Bush.

George W Bush, Dick Cheney, and Condi Rice are not the right people to broker a peace deal.

All this talk about the impossiblity of Jews living peacefully with Arabs is pure bs.
