Andrew Coyne writes for the NP and he is the best political writer in a daily paper.
I'm rather fond of Margaret Wente in the G & M

On a different side of the same kind of thing, I think we need a public inquiry into what exactly the Liberal Government was thinking when they volunteered Canadian Troops for this fiasco in Afghanistan. Prime minister Harper has been dealing with the Liberal decision as well as anyone struggling with a poor strategic decision can. While Canadians in their cowlike way are beginning to blame the Conservatives for what was a Liberal decision, and immediate inquiry into the decision might make things a little more clear. My fear is of course that the Liberal party of Canada decided to sacrifice the lives of Canadian Soldiers in order to make the Liberal party look good, and to make the Conservatives look like warmongers.
