Just look up West Bank and what has happened from Senior Bush time and Israel expanded reach.. Israel only withdrew from Gaza .. not West Bank..

After everything is said and done, only thing US has done is give massive amount of aids to Israel (arms to hard cash) and Egypt (billions for signing the peace accord) but in practical terms, not much for Palestinians.. Last few months it seems for voting Hamas few bucks that used to go to Palestinians all were withheld..

I think this is an important point. I made it yesterday or the day before, too. The notion all along is that some agreement could be reached if Israel backed out of occupied territories and quit waving the settlements under the noses of the Palestinians that a permanent truce could be reached. Israel already did most of that on its own and hasn't gotten any points for it. Which means that the original notion must have been wrong. Which leaves no path to a negotiated peace. I don't understand why there isn't more commentary on that point.
