The Taliban were hiding Bin Laden and company. 99% of the country agreed they had to be taken out. That we all agreed on. However after a good start, Bush suddenly lost interest. He let Osama get away at Tora Bora then started withdrawing our counter-terrorist forces from Afghanistan to secretly focus on Iraq. Why? Why did he do that? Afghanistan is now in trouble again because Bush failed to finish the job. And Iraq is a total mess now. Much more dangerous than it was under Saddam. Plus the SHias there are allying more and more with Iran and Bush has pushed Iran deeply into the enemy column, refusing to even deal with them unless they unilaterally disarm. That is not diplomacy, that is unrealistic arrogant bullying. And now as a result we have big-time troule in Lebanon and with Syria too. This has to be the worst administration for foreign policy in US history.

Arafat was an ally compared to Hamas which Bush pushed into power in palestine through a combination of arrogant threats and lack of engagement in the peace procerss. Bush's "Roadmap To Peace" was just a slogan. He did almost nothing to back it up so now it has totally failed after going nowhere.
