What impact would a middle east scholarship program with a fund of $50 billion do to our standing in the region?

The impact would be that we'd have a much better educated terrorist. We'd have well educated leaders like Assad of Syria, supplier of intelligence and arms for hezbollah....you want me to go on?

We are cutting ourselves off from those who will lead the Muslim world.

We are cutting ourselves off from them? If anything it's been the other way around! It's the muslim Islamofascist leaders that are fermenting the hate and bigotry and terror in the entire region and the world.

What do you think it costs us when US servicemen rape and kill Iraqi children?

This is an outrageous statement and gives me a very clear idea just how mislead you are. Keep reading DailyKoz and you're going to turn into a turnip.

No matter how nice we are to these beings it will only be translated into weakness. You don't seem to understand, when these gumbas chant death to Israel, death to the US, THEY MEAN IT.

Re: This is a purely political war.

So if Israel laid down all of their arms today, Hezbollah would not bother them? This is what you are indeed saying, and yet it could not be further removed from reality.
