Having just finished a fascinating book on the subject of the German blitzkrieg in May-June 1940 that crushed Belgium threw Britain off the continent, and forced France to ask for terms, it comes to me that the correct term for what is going on in south Lebanon right now is "phony war". Possibly. However the only thing I can tell you with absolute certainty is that what is really going on in the fighting is not being reported, because the reporters are not there.
