Israel is doing what the UN should have done long ago, with the help of the Lebanese army. Only now that this conflict has started is the UN moving towards enforcing their own resolutions. The UN observers knew that the hezbollah situation in Lebanon was getting worse and worse as time went on. They had, what, 6 years to work out a way to enforce disarming hezbollah and nothing constructive was done. Thank God Bush appointed Bolton to the UN.

Israel has given up trying to kill Hezbollah but they have created hell-on-earth in a significant part of Lebanon...and made a bunch of their own citizens flee as well.

Typical of you. Blame Israel for something that you should be blaming the Lebanese Govt and hezbollah for not to mention Iran and Syria. What kind of sucker wouldn't believe that some of these so called massacres were not set up by hezbollah?

Would we tolerate it if one of our boardering countries built up large numbers of offensive weapons on our boarders? You think that we'd just sit there and let the build up continue year after year until it was an uncontainable force? I think not.
