What is your concept of democracy?


My concept of democracy is that the government, and only the government, has an army. No political parties with private armies - especially private armies funded from abroad that are stronger than the government - get to run for office without disarming.

That the government should maintain a monopoly of the use of force is a standard basic requirement for rule of law.
