Perhaps. Although since women are attracted to wealth and resources, I'd say fittest can indeed mean smartest- or at least most successful. And in terms of evolution smartest isn't how well you do on a test, but how successful you are at accumulating resources for survival. Since looking for resources in a male works for women, I'm not sure what the pressure is for change, from a biological perspective.
