Israel has 6 million Muslim and Christian under its rule. About 20% of them are given limited citizenship and rights, and 80% live under martial law with zero citizenship.

Israel puts military installations in Arab towns to use the Palestinians as human shields. Nazareth is one such example.

If they'd followed the policy of ethnic cleansing to the extent its critics claim, there would be none.

This has a ring of Holocaust denial to it. "Where did all those Jews come from if they really were being exterminated?" asks a faithful David Irving reader.

Also, "to the extent critics claim" is an artfully vague phrase. This saves the potential failures that might arise when refuting specific critics, such as me.

In fact, the Israeli archives themselves showed that there was a systematic effort to scare the Arabs into fleeing. Israeli historian Benny Morris did much of this research, though he is quite unhappy that the ethnic cleansing was not thorough enough.
