If that's bs, then you suggest some terms with which both could live in peace. Otherwise you're dreaming. Why are we afraid to look at the truth? People used to ask James Baker why he did not finish the job by going into Baghdad. People do not ask that question any more. James Baker's implied answer is that by going into Baghdad they risked destablising the region. Before we invaded Iraq, the region had the same differences that they have now, but at least people were not killing each other. If we were not mired down in Iraq, do you really think Lebanon would be in this kind of mess? You are living in a dream world if you can not call a spade a spade. In a real world you would question leaving your children in the hands of a non treated alcoholic bus driver. You would at least bring the subject up and try to save the bus driver his job by addressing his problem. (I may be digressing, but not by that much <ggg>) The violence that has broken out did not have to have happened. What we have to do now is face reality. Not go into more denial. We have to send in the "A" Team to broker a deal. We have to send in James Baker, Brent Scrowcroft, and Colin Powell to stop the bleeding. We are the world's only super power. We could get them to the table and hold them to binding arbitration. We have to restore our reputation. We have to apologiseise for our actions. We have to eat crow. We have to symbolically hang Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc. We have to put some serious money on the table. Our people have made a bad situation worse. But, a solution exists. We just have to find it.
