Yeah, these days the question mark is over Intel's viability, isn't it. No I don't think so. Intel made over $800 million last quarter and have since introduced a new architecture that makes Opteron look very dated. They've been doing a fire sale and still made lots of money. They've sold off a money losing division, laid people off and more is planned. AMD has just spent Billions picking up ATI. It won't take much of a drop in ASPs for AMD to sink back into the red.
