The voter should cast this vote in a box. This is the paper backup of what's recorder on the computer.

Granted that the box can still be stuffed by goons. But that is a lot harder than the kind of cheating that one can do in a paperless system.


The same type of cheating that can work with a paperless system can cause this system to print an incorrect vote.

The voter might see the vote printout through some sort of window before it gets dumped in the box. If so you might have a real improvement, but its still not a "night and day" difference , and most it is a desirable incremental improvement.
