What exactly do you consider to be our unsustainable current track? Declaring more and more open WOT fronts while our troops, funding and political support at home and abroad are already stretched to their breaking points. Talk to people in the military and you will likely hear that we cannot sustain these levels of deployments indefinitely without seriously breaking our military machine. Which invites more aggression from bad guys because they know we have no real ability to invade anywhere else under almost any circumstances except direct attacks on US soil. If we don't manage our resources, policies and international relations in a sustainable fashion, eventually we will fall away as a credible player, despite our rhetoric.
