I bought a light Toyota pickup new in '87. Still have it, with 300k+ miles.

Have never had repairs, just occasionally changed the oil. It is so easy on tires that I am on only the third set.

The thing is an anvil. I was t-boned on the passenger side and the door still worked. I was rear-ended and the tailgate still works. A tree fell on it and only slightly dented the roof.

Toyota deserves the success that they are having, IMO.
