Self-fulfilling prophesy.

Well goodness knows, we are going to have enough heat in our future.

I dont pay nearly enough attention to global warming, climate etc. While driving yesterday I was listening to the radio and some expert said that the reason the heat wave this year was so severe is that all the good work accomplished on air pollution over the last 25 years had paid off but it also had the effect of removing a buffer layer of smog in the atmosphere that served to block the sunlight and control temps somewhat. Counterintuitive as that sounds, it did make some sense. It seems to me as an amateur that we are seeing the effects of the industrial age on global warming and that any behaviour changes we make now we will not see results for some time as global warming continues. Thus it seems to me we need to anticipate the potential disasters coming and deal with them as strongly and with as much money as we do to preventing and reversing global warming. Am i anywhere close to the truth with any of this?

Looks like the Saudis have a pretty good understanding of themselves.
