Wow, Euterpre, have you got me all wrong!

I am the last person in the world to want to force my opinions on others. I'm more like Shane, just riding through, minding my own business, not wanting trouble, but willing to confront it if I have to. At least that's what I think, although my wife keeps saying "I saw Shane, and forget it". Anyway, my "Because I say so," doesn't work well in our household.

On SI, I honestly don't care what opinions others hold, certainly not in the sense of trying to change them. I enjoy sparring with those whose opinions differ with mine, but I don't have any idea of "winning."

I have to admit I lied about the teenagers (to make a point). My two girls never needed any "because I said so" that I recall. However, there are moms and dads in our larger family that do believe that necessary at times.

No two things are alike, but gays, polygamists, and pedophiles can be lumped together for certain purposes, inasmuch as all three are forms of cohabitative preferences and are represented by quasi-organizations seeking societal endorsement.

Don't worry, I won't be giving up anytime soon in speaking my mind.
