The American media have labeled the core problem in this conflict to be Hezbollah rockets that terrorize northern Israel. It's no coincidence that the media have centered the debate around the White House's position, as they usually do.

The money quote from my previous link:

"In the six years since Israel withdrew, there have been frequent border incidents between Hezbollah and the Israeli army, and cease-fire violations of the type committed now by Hezbollah, have occurred before, initiated by either side, and more frequently by Israel. None of the previous incidents resulted in Katyusha shelling of the north of Israel, which has enjoyed full calm since Israel's withdrawal."

Ask yourself a simple question: What are the implications (not the reasons, but the results) that the American government and media are centering the debate around this false issue?

Most importantly, view with extreme skepticism anyone who labels this issue as the core of the problem.
