fwiw I don't think the VIX works anymore. It used to be a surefire buy indicator in a bull market. But it is NOT a surefire buy indicator in a bear market.

To be honest I'm not even sure what the correlation of the VIX is with market performance anymore.

I understand your stance rts..., historical, logical, proven etc. But weren't Gottfried's charts the same ? Historical, logical, all proven to have worked in the past?

But look what happened.., Nada..

If everyone is looking for the same thing.., they'll all miss the "next new thing", or something like that..

In other words, If everyone is looking for an "October buy the bottom"..., just like you are, what is everyone missing ????
