I've dabbled in device co's and generally lost money in them. Early stage companies are almost always overvalued on hype and BS technology, and the big boys can invent around the patents leaving the market to the marketers and predatory pricers.

Neverthelss, recent IPO Volcano might be worth watching if they truly have a technology that allows imaging of vulnerable plaque. If I recall they are already partnered with the big dog. (First rule of investing is never pay more than the IPO price.)
