Gen. Powell must be watching all this and saying "Folks, I told you so." Yeah, I was thinking Pottery Barn a lot recently. Only now that we have broken it, we lack the means (financial and military) to fix it or just buy it outright and take it home. The US is being played like a fiddle by the bad guys now. It is a horrible, immoral game where they use the lives of civilians as pawns, but it is certainly working as the poisonous news coverage spreads around the world every day. Since most Americans never hear or read foreign media, I don't think they appreciate the impact of these events every news cycle.
