It seems to me that the tide on the ground is turning in israelis favor, not that they were going to lose before---I am talking of perceptions.

Strangely enough, IMO, the real battle is going to occur AFTER the UN peace-keeping forces are in place.

And that battle is going to be over whether Lebanon can actually exist as a state, or whether its destined to remain in perpetual state of pseudo, or actual, civil war.

The primary battle will be for the Lebanese government, with the assistance of the UN forces, to guarantee Lebanon's sovereignty.
