It's a PR contest between the Sunni militia groups and the Shi'a militia groups --- each striving to out do each other in opposition to Israel, to win popular approval.

On a larger tapestry the competition between the Sunni and the Shiite branches of Islam plays out throughout the Islamic world.

The civil war in Iraq being but one portion of the conflict.

I don't know how you can say that so quickly, this is only the beginning phase of the war... any country who is against Israel at this point is clearly an enemy of the modern world and a friend of the islamo-facists terrorists...
