I see no reason why health insurers can't pry in to your eating habits and raise your rates if you don't eat properly. Interestingly our very expensive health plan is now using a service that gives you a discount if you accept the help of an advice nurse as part of any condition you may have. The nurse checks in with you, makes sure you are doing what you are supposed to do, and gives you help and advice in managing your condition. If you don't allow the nurse to "help" you, you get charged a lot more premium. That's the way things are going, imo. But that's free enterprise, not the state.
