"Malkiel was talking about 88% of managed funds not beating the market over the past TWO DECADES."

Yes, so 12% do. What is to explain?
-----------------------------------------------------

Because it shows you just don't know what you are talking about.

You are saying that 12% of managed funds beat the market over the past two decades which is utter nonsense.

In any year, 15 to 25%+ of managed funds will beat the averages but that does not mean that 15 to 25%+ of the same managed funds will consistently beat the market year after year after year. They are not the same funds each year.

You just cannot point to "many" managed funds consistently beating the unmanaged indices over the long haul because they're aren't any.

That's what's to explain Kirk. You just don't get it.
