I detest the new developments, hate them with a passion. No individuality, no creativity, no spirit. Just a bunch of cookie cutter houses on postage same sized lots. How boring and uninspiring.

Bootstrapping is when something brings itself up. A computer bootstraps itself when you turn it on.

You only overimprove if you plan to live there a long time or the neighborhood is doing what mine is doing. In a cookie cutter subdivision you are wasting your money.
