I could write these generic campaign ads for the democrats. Here is one for a congressional candidate in, say, New Jersey...Candidate xxx cares about the widows and orphans of xxxx. He understands that compassion means understanding the needs of people and that when tragedy strikes we need to pull together. Republicans and conservatives claim to be compassionate, but this is what they really think:" Add quotes from Coulter on 9/11 widows as harpies, etc. etc." Hey, Pro....Beyond the evangelical faithful just chortling over old Ann's latest barb while she tosses her hair and bats her baby-blues at the camera, there is a 10% of the population waiting to be swayed one way or the other in this election. They don't feel quite right (as evidenced by the polls, but don't yet know which way to turn...demo or epubl). Coulter claims to be the voice of conservatism. She says it all the time....so if the conservatives don't disown her, they are going to have to live with her remarks. Pataki tried to disown her on the 9/11 widow comments...some other republicans have also done so. She is a godsend for the demos....especially as we near the one year anniversary of the New Orleans hurricane and so much is yet to be done. Just take some of her sound bites over photos of New Orleans and send the signal about how "compassionate" conservatives really are. Its a slam dunk. I'm not saying it is true..I am saying it will be an effective campaign image. And Ann will love it, cause she will be back in the limelight, batting her baby blues and being "shocked..shocked" to find out that anyone could take her comments that way. Then she will pitch her new book...
