Actually, if you want evidence of the Bush Administration colluding with big oil, there it is.

That's evidence of the normal special interest problem, not evidence of AS's theories. Not that I'm saying you are asserting that it is evidence of those theories, just trying to make things clear.

Any other areas where you see that government could get out of the way of a solution?

Bush's #1 priority was doubling gas prices and rewarding Big Oil for their loyalty to him with 20 billion in tax breaks. But it's gone even beyond that. Before we know it we could be looking at $4 a gallon. All into the hands of Exxon types, who won't do a damn thing to get us off oil and onto clean fuels, where the money is so desperately needed.

I say windfall profits taxes. Big ones. Then plow that money into solar, wind, ethanol, bio, electric and all the rest. 100 billion ought to juice that market nicely. Then sayonara, Iran. We don't need you anymore.
