If you can't understand the OBVIOUS political ramifications of having US troops in Lebanon, then I guess you would never understand any response I provide to you..

Sorry, I poorly worded my question. What will NATO, Lebanese, whoever do in Lebanon more effectively than the USA is doing in Iraq? We can't control Iraq, why are they going to control S. Lebanon. Is Hezbollah easier to control than the Iraqi violence, is that what you are banking on? Why would you think that? Will NATO et al have better equipment or tactics? If so, will the USA adopt them and thus win in Iraq?
