It was amazing to hear generals admit to Congress that Civil War might break out in Iraq. Especially since civil war has been raging there for about 18 months.

Having destroyed the Sunni bulwark to Shiite radicals overrunning the country and the region, the USA now gets to watch as the undermanned but strong Sunnis slaughter Shiites for slaughtering them. Having forced Syria out of Lebanon, Bush also gets to smile down on the results of this bit of meddling. Hezbollah was free of the one restraint on its terrorist actions.

Sunnis still outnumber Shiites, but the radical terrorists have all the panache with the youth. The Sunni leaders are mostly corrupt degenerates in the pocket of the USA. The one major exception was Saddam Hussein, and nobody wants to follow his example. A truly horrible man, but Iraq was in better shape under Saddam than under Bush and his puppets.

Perhaps things will get better. And I may win the lottery.
