Have you forgotten that they would not allow slaves to vote? Or that they considered them to be worth only three fifths of a "real citizen"?

That doesn't support the idea that the founding fathers thought slavery was a good idea.

Note they avoided using the words slave or slavery. BTW the 3/5 was for the benefit of the slave states. They got to count 3/5 of people not allowed to vote in apportioning representatives - which meant the slave areas got more representatives than if they'd only counted people able to vote.
