You must be looking at the wrong dealers. I was just referring to the link he provided that stated those Buffalo coins were selling for $800/coin.. But I would concur with you that Krugerrands, given their accepted status as a coin of stated measure, are one of the best ways of owning physical gold.. Which, I must confess, I'm only an advocate of if one believes the current Fiat system is on the verge of collapse, or that a country's economic performance should be tied to the amount of a precious yellow metal we can dig up from the ground. Unless purchased with the belief of a forthcoming economic apocalypse, Gold should only traded based upon supply/demand analysis, and not speculation over inflation concerns in the US. We have inflation adjusted bonds that provide a far better hedge against inflation than gold. And they pay interest, which gold does not. Hawk
