InterNap reports $713,000 Q2 profit

InterNap Network Services Corp. remained in the black in the second quarter.

Atlanta-based Internap (AMEX: IIP), which provides performance-based routing services for IP networks, reported net income of $713,000 on $43.9 million in revenue, compared with a net loss of $1 million on $37.6 million in revenue in the second quarter of 2005. Earnings were 2 cents a share, compared with a loss per share of 3 cents in the second quarter of 2005.

The results for the second quarter of 2006 include a stock-based compensation expense of $1.6 million.

Through six months, the company had net income of $1.3 million and earnings of 4 cents a share on $86.5 million in revenue, compared with a net loss of $1.6 million and a loss per share of 5 cents on $75.4 million in revenue in the same period of 2005.

Looking back to the way income was reported last year this would make the income .07 per share?

What I want to know is whether this is a one-time charge (which I believe it is), and that it means next quarter will be even better??
