Odd or not, it seems that's Intel's plan. I don't know whether it will work the way they expect, but I think that's why they don't see the build-up of net-burst inventory as a problem. They'll just make millions of low-cost chipsets and mother boards, and they expect to unload the whole lot in India, China and Africa.
