It sounded reasonable to me because I inferred that Sarmad actually meant "The 1 million figure likely was the number given the wafers started at the time the person said it."

Rather than waste time asking whether in fact he actually meant "1 Million Wafers", I took the leap that it was more reasonable that he actually just made a typo or phrasing error...

Given this context, I thought his opinion seemed very plausible. Also, I agree with him that this issue has been WAY over discussed as we will probably never know the answer and I'm sure that, even if Intel does clarify this, it will be spun in a way which will be a positive for Intel (and could possibly be the truth...)

So, I hope that clarifies things a bit... I apologize if the brevity of my response conveyed more/less than was intended...

Hurrah, Sarmad the gray-matter challenged Intel mole is back.

<<<Then Hermiz comes in and says:

<<<<The 1 million figure likely was the number of wafers started at the time the person said it. I think people here are making too much of it as a goal for the quarter.

1 million wafer starts, eh? Poor Sarmad, maybe he means 1 million waffles started at Intel's House of Pancakes.
