"Sorry I missed it."

I've said before that terrorists deserve what ever happens to them. Hezbollah aren't freedom fighters, they are criminals. Unfortunately well organized and well trained, but criminals none the less.

The problem is that Israel is expanding this well beyond the point where it can have a good end. They aren't going to kill off enough Hezbollah to make a difference. Their best bet was to isolate the south and invest some troops to do some house to house searches and seize weapons and material. Spend maybe a week altogether and pull back. The other Arab states were in a mood to beat up on Hezbollah and, by extension, Syria. But they have lost that. Now, every minute they continue, they risk destabilizing the region. Which is not to say that the present situation is a good one, but it can be much, much worse. In the Middle East, it can always be much, much worse. Not just for Omar in the street, who is likely to have severe lead poisoning problems in the near future, but the world economy could get a strong kick to the stomach. And that kind of chaos has a way of spreading too.
