Well, America has probably more than a million Muslims and a million Jews and obviously not even a tiny percentage on either side are attacking anyone, although one can always find a rare case somewhere. Labeling either group in general as the types to issue death threats, much less being murderers, is simply wrong. I don't think that by taking sides in conflicts like Israel's recent incursion into Lebanon serve our interests as Canadians, which is not to say that I have any particular fondness of Canada's Muslim population. I think that no lobby on behalf of any foreign government or population should override a simple support of principles such as the even-handed application of international law and support for peace and the rights of civilians. Of course, you know I think that immigration policies should be very restrictive but that goes across the board for all parts of the world that have endemic strife, corruption, or crime, which is a pretty long list.
