Not much of a pattern? In the fifteen years from January 1991 to January 2006, his model had 180 opportunities in his monthly newsletter to be wrong on the direction of the market. Even if you count the seven months from January of 2000 to August of 2000 as wrong because he didn't want to admit that his model was bearish, and count the three months of the 1998 bear market as wrong, the facts that say his model was right 170 months out of 180.
