I don't want Europe, thank you. I am a proud American who values our concept of equality and our freedoms.
Moral permissiveness (at least that is what I thought JC was talking about) is a different concept from political freedom- although I am not sure what countries you are referring to where people are jailed for a wrong word. But maybe I misunderstood.

They are sensitive about hate crimes because of the Nazis. Fairly understandable. I imagine with time the fear of fascism and hate will wear off a bit. Right now it is still fairly intense.
