It makes them sensitive to hate language and worried about the resurgence of hate groups. When they start putting people in gas chambers based on race or religion, or because they are gay, THEN you can say they are "just like"
the Nazis. Until then what you are saying is hyperbole.

As for hating Israel, I'm not sure that's true. Seeing Israel has a huge threat to world peace (the studies I have seen from Europe indicate that Europeans see Israel as such) is not the same as hating it. I see it that way myself, but do not hate the Jews, or Israel, nor do I "love" the Arab nations around Israel (and also see them as a threat to world peace.) If you can find me a survey that shows Europeans "hate" Israel, as opposed to just fearing they are militaristic, and a danger to the world, please post it. After your conflation of Europeans now, with Nazis (because of hate crime laws), though, I do begin to wonder if you have equally exaggerated the position of Europeans wrt Israel.
