To: Suma who wrote (363 ) 8/5/2006 8:23:34 PM From: Lazarus_Long Respond to of 377 I was going to privately reply to this post but see you have me on ignore again.????? God you do this and never tell the person. HAIL, you haven't PMed me or posted to me or on my threads in a dog's age. What difference does it make? I don't even remember what sparked it. But I do have witnesses who will testify as to my poor memory. :-) There are some additional matters I can say on this, but I will say them in PM if you wish to hear them.At any rate this happened in 1986 and 87.. so how could it be slanderous... The attorney is long since gone... died.. in a freak accident. I have no doubt a good shyster could find a way to sue a corpse or sue on it's behalf. In fact, I believe it has been done! What is it not normal for some one to think you must be having an affair or why would you hand over a condo with title for him to sell and take a promissory note for six months hence... ?? Which of course was never paid. Normal? I call that HIGHLY unprofessional conduct that should be reported to the bar association and is cause for legal action of your own if you can prove it (that's the tough part). An attorney you hire has no business making such assumptions about your morals or lack thereof. He's supposed to leave THAT to his opposition! :-)What is all this slander thing. What's wrong with you attacking me for telling the truth. The financial planners put me in vestments that went belly up. I have proof of everything I say and resent that the inference is that I am making it up. I don't believe I made such inference and apologize if I said anything that could be taken that way. I have no problem AT ALL believing your story. I hold financial planners in very low esteem and suspect most have morals and ethics that could walk under a snake. I advise you to have nothing to do with them. You could do as well doing some research and reading on your own and making your decisions. Just laddering CDs and T-bills at about 5% yeild will beat most of them.Anyway I have told you some of these in PM's before you had me on ignore a long long time ago. You must have forgot.. It's over and done and I was stupid. Is that slanderous to say about myself ? I think it's legally impossible to slander yourself. :-) Confession, some who claim to know more than anyone possibly could, is good for the soul though. :-) Although if challenged to prove the "soul" exists, they will fail miserably. You're off ignore. If you answer this, I will see the answer. Let me add one more thing. I don't do business with friends. Period. Ever. You never know but what it will turn out you have to play hardball and that is much harder to do with a friend. If a friend is in finanacial difficulty and I feel that I should help, I will GIVE them money and make it clear it is a GIFT, not a loan, and I do not expect repaymenent. You then avoid the horrors of trying to collect a debt gone bad.
