Rink,

Of course my phrasing was poor. But you did figure that out.

>> I remember thinking when I read it initially that you might actually very well not know enough about the process, and hence mistakenly used the word 'wafers' in the wrong context,
<<

Exactly! Which means you very definitely didn't think I meant the 200 million chips that result from 1 million wafer starts. You thought, "well, maybe this ignorant person thinks 1 wafer yields 1 chip. He really means 1 million chips."

I don't mind you thinking I'm ignorant. Please do keep in mind that the person to whom my post was directed was sharp enough in his thought process to understand what was meant. Which is why the post was directed to him, and not to someone who would not be expected to meet that level of interpretive difficulty.

>> that outclass you in some specific subjects by a mile or two

you mean people like combjelly who said the reason fab 36 output did not show up in q1 inventory was the wafers were in transit to Malaysia ?

I think I do realize who is more knowledgeable than me in various areas. Generally they don't waste their time on nitpicks.

Regards,

Sarmad
