I am glad you brought up UTEK, It fits in with my skepticism that Brinker may not be the Wall Street professional he claims to be. He obviously analyzed the company and though it was a good buy. When he pumped it on the NBR I did my own analysis and decided to pass on it. There are other things as well that raise my suspicions. Math said he doesn't agree with Brinker's policy to not sell into weakness. I have studied various money masters and don't know of any one of them that has that policy. Then there is the fact that he turned a short term trade into a long term hold and rode it all the way down. Again I don't know of any successful money manger that ever done that. George Soros got killed in a S&P trade one year. He closed it out as fast as possible selling into weakness and moved on to his next trade and still managed to be up 25% for that year.
