And as far as Senators are concerned, all the votes end up in one big bucket.

Huh? Please don't post to me when you're smoking weed.
Honeychile, the votes for US Senators IN ALL THE STATES end up in onee big bucket. Senators are elected by popular vote statewide. (They used to be elected by state legislators. The Constitution fails to specify the method of chossing Senators and this was once the universal method). Sorry for your ignorance, but you are ignorant on this subject. And I did not say both Senators will be chosen in the same election; they won't be. The other will have been chosen in a separate election either 2 years earlier or in an election 2 years later.

Sweet-ums, all that may be well and good but one small thing.......we weren't talking about senators. Follow the thread of posts back.........you suddenly introduced it into one of your posts........out of the blue. I think you must have been having a conversation with one of the voices in your head while you were posting to me. It will be our little secret. ;-)
