if i understand your terminology correctly, you expect amd to be between 17.5 & 22.5 for august. do you have any longer terms option trades ? when do you expect amd to come back to its "historical range" ?

Aren't I an AMD investor too?

Only because of that short put position.

Of course you must be familiar with that put-call parity relation, approximately:

call + cash = put + stock

Thus, the 2 short calls do not equate to an investment in AMD. (but they can definitely make you an interested party).

But the short put brings you back into the fold because your fortunes are once again (somewhat) tied to those of AMD's. So, welcome back :-)
