Oh heck Nadine, get real. Even Israeli citizens are having a hard time explaining what the heck the IDF is doing.

It's absurd. Just a few weeks ago it was, 'destroying Hezbollah' and then it morphed to 'disarming Hezbollah' and now it will be, what, 'making peace between Israel and Hezbollah.'

People keep yammering that this is a problem of the MIND. How in the world do you change someone's mind by killing their family members or demolishing their homes?

It's absurd. It's thuggish. Most of all it's ineffective.

'Beatings will stop when morale improves' ...sure that works.

================= It's over? Who won?

"...In response to the draft resolution, British Prime Minister Tony Blair said "this is a first step. There is still much to be done. But there is no reason why this resolution should not be adopted now and we have the cessation of hostilities ... within the next couple of days....

Bolton said the resolution would be the first of two. He said this one deals with the immediate issue of the fighting. The second would likely spell out a larger political framework for peace between Israel and Hezbollah...."

I'm just counting the corpses Nadine. FACT - Israel has killed far more civilians than Hezbollah. Saying "but they use civilians as human shields!" doesn't excuse that Israel blasts right through the human shields - killing an inordinate number of civilians.

Perhaps Israel should change it's tactics? After all, most of those rockets are totally ineffective. Maybe just respond to the very few that ARE?

<All of them become "innocent civilians" when they die.> They are in fact so smart that they managed to disguise hundreds of their fighters as children (now dead) under the age of 12. To the untrained eye these hundreds of dead children had no connection whatsoever to any attacks on Israel and found themselves mashed into a bloody pulp dying horrible deaths without mercy to pay for the crime of being born in Lebanon. But to those with a keen insight we can see that they are in reality foolish people who offer themselves as "human shields" and are merely posing as innocent young children, cowering under the bombardment of American supersonic aircraft firing "precisely" into their homes. Nadine, we have you to thank for helping us to se through this plot. We could now use some help with understanding the targetting of UN observers and the targeting of the Red Cross - I am sure there are equally keen insights waiting to show us how misguided we are to think the Israel would target and kill scores of innocent people.
