but I honestly believe the guy is more worried about the state of our military than about a leadership position

If that is the truth, then why is be being used as the Democratic poster boy for every Democratic election in the country. He is going to make more appearances than Kennedy at the nearest Happy Hour.

"Every once in a while I like to think that somebody is standing up for something he believes in and isn't just doing what he's doing for a deceptive reason."

And why is it that you suggest the wimp Will who won't stand up to his liberal media masters should be held up as a conservative icon?

I believe Murtha's initial statement, showing concern for our fine military, was sincere; however now he appears to enjoy the limelight while entertaining political ambitions. Following his ABSCAM problems, Murtha was content to avoid the spotlight in WashDC, the recent press attention has given him false hopes that he could possibly be chosen for a leadership position in the House. Hillary must be thrilled he is throwing stones for her.

Look at the way Murtha immediately found the Haditha soldiers guilty--someone who genuinely holds their best interest at heart would never have been so anxious to make such a hasty conclusion.

Best scenario--possibly he's suffering the initial stages of Alzheimer's ...it wouldn't be the first time the symtoms of that disease made a once sensible person start to act radically out of character.

As far as Lyndie England, how can pointing to a disrobed terrorist's private parts and chuckling be compared to the jihadists beheadings and torture of their prisoners? They're no where near morally equivalent.

Our military have volunteered to fight for their country, and if asked, I'm sure they would ask all Americans to keep that in mind.
