Arab democracy is simply not Israel's friend. Those peace treaties that Israel has were not signed by democracies. Democracies are some of the toughest opponents in real war. They may look soft and easy but they tend to put up more of a fight than their enemies expect.

Democracies don't go to war easily because they concern themselves with matters like economic prosperity and casualties, matters of much smaller importance to tyrants. Once they do go, they are tough. But the point about Arab democracies is that they are much less likely to go to war than Arab tyrannies. War is a quick decision when only man needs to say 'yes' to it, and it tends to silence the opposition in a wonderful way.
